COVID-19 Response and FAQs

In light of the global COVID-19 pandemic, I would like to update the Hazel Moon Botanicals community on the measures I am engaging in as a sole proprietor in response to COVID-19.  As a micro-business, I face unique challenges as well as unique opportunities to continue to serve my customers and clients.  

Given that the disease has been classified as a pandemic, it is imperative that we all join together and rise to the challenge of minimizing its spread while protecting the vulnerable. 

I recognize that COVID-19 is a having tangible impacts on everyone in our community and supply chain as well as their families, friends, colleagues, and loved ones. The responsibility that I possess as a trusted resources to you at this time cannot be overstated. 

As a result, I am working carefully to align my business continuity in cooperation with the recommendations and ongoing advice promoted by the U.S. and New Hampshire federal and state governments, public health officials, regulatory agencies such as the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) & FDA (Food & Drug Administration), the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), and WHO (World Health Organization). 

To provide additional clarity during these uncertain times, I have assembled a list of FAQs for our community: 

  1. Are Hazel Moon Botanicals operations continuing uninterrupted? 
    At the present time, I am continuing to manufacture and ship almost all of our products.  Certain products, such as our Vegan Herbal Salve are unavailable, as obtaining raw materials is delayed due to the high demands in the market.  Due to full-time parenting and remote-learning responsibilities for my young children, I anticipate that order processing and shipping times will currently be processing in 2-4 business days. I am relying on USPS pick-up for all shipments, the timing of which varies from day to day.
  1. What measures are you taking to mitigate the risks of COVID-19? 
    I have always operated my business using Good Manufacturing practices of frequent hand washing, and sanitizing all work surfaces and equipment using pharmaceutical grade alcohol.  If there comes a time when I exhibit ANY symptoms such as fever, congestion, cough, et cetera, I will suspend production and shipping of products immediately.
  1. Are you developing any products that can help reduce the spread of the virus? 
    We already have a number of products in our inventory that have been formulated to harness plant power for cleansing the air and surfaces, and a number of our essential oil blends can be added to cleaning products at home to boost effectiveness.  Additionally, many of our products can be used to support wellness.  I remind all customers that virtually any of our blends can be made as a body, room, linen & surface spray, roll-on, or pure EO blend.

    In addition, we have a limited quantity of hand-sanitizer gel that is compliant with the FDA’s modified rules for distribution during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This product is available in three sizes in the Clean Hands collection in our Apothecary. Due to FDA requirements, we will NOT be modifying the formula with the addition of essential oils. However, we do offer a number of pure essential oil blends for customers to add themselves if they wish. 
  1. Are we still able to place our orders online? 
    Yes, our website will remain functional for all online purchasing.
  1. Will there be any disruptions to order processing and shipping services?
    No, not at the moment; this will however be contingent on the continued operations of Fedex, UPS, and other common carriers.
  1. What will happen to my prepaid orders in the event of a mandatory shutdown?
    Your continued patience, trust, and confidence in me is valued if such a situation were to arise. Upon reopening, I assure that any customer wishing to cancel their order that has not been fulfilled will receive a full refund.

I am diligently monitoring official channels and guidelines to ensure we are taking the right steps at the right time, and will do our best to keep you updated through my Newsletter and announcements on our website.
