So many things to celebrate! Yesterday was such a busy day of preparation and celebrating at my daughter’s school for their last day of school and Winter Solstice Concert.  I have had thoughts swirling in my brain, and they were too long for a social media post, so here I am, dusting off the blog button on my website, pouring out the welling thoughts like water coursing through a mountain brook.

Today, as we are embracing the longest night of the year on the Winter Solstice, I wanted to take the opportunity to extend blessings and gratitude to all. I am grateful for family, friends and customers who have supported me personally and professionally.  I am thankful for the opportunities and challenges that I have faced this year.  I am hopeful for the possibilities that lie ahead.

We will lay our heads on our pillows tonight, with the Full Moon watching over us, encouraging us to release that which does not serve us, to embrace the possibilities that come with the dawn, and offers us insight into our emotions.  This is particularly timely as so many of us will be spending a lot of time with family over the coming weeks and marinating in the various relationships that bring us joy and angst.

We will wake tomorrow, with the possibilities that we can start anew, reaping the benefits of the expanding daylight.  While it may feel like the days are still so short, the certainty of the coming sun and warmth provides hope during the cold dark months of winter.

So, on this Winter Solstice, first day of Yule, and the eve of the rising Cold Moon, I set for these intentions for you:

May you look back on the year with peace.

May you release those memories that are painful.

May you look ahead with hope.

May you bask in the glow of love.

May the returning sun fill your heart and hearth with warmth.

Wishing you peaceful blessings of hope and renewal

Marie
